Franklin Oboe Akwaah is a Partner at Pine Tree Capital, with 12 years of experience in business advisory, business training, capital markets, corporate finance and project finance advisory. He assists clients with capital raising advisory, strategy development, business restructuring, business valuations, financial modeling, infrastructure advisory and investment appraisals. He has extensive advisory experience in Manufacturing, Agribusiness, Financial Services (Insurance, Banks, Pensions etc.) Ports, Media, Water & Sanitation sectors.
Prior to joining Pine Tree Capital, he served as Assistant Manager in Deloitte Ghana. He also worked previously as a SEC-licensed Investment Adviser at IFS Capital Management Ltd. Franklin holds a Master of Business Administration (Accounting & Taxation) degree from GIMPA School of Business in Ghana. Countries of his experience include Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, Kenya and South Africa. He speaks English and basic French.
Michael Ato Yorke is a financial management professional with about 12 years’ experience primarily in the not-for-profit sector. His experience spans Project Financial Reporting, Management Accounting, Treasury Management, Internal/ External Audit Oversight, and Financial Management System Design and Implementation.
As a key member of the STAR Ghana Program Management Team overseeing a GBP22 Million multi-donor funded program, he was involved in the development of Financial Management Training Modules, Budgeting, Development of Budget Monitoring Mechanisms, Training of Non-Finance Professionals in Financial Management, Grant Management, Bid and Contract Management, Diverse and Multiple Donor Reporting, Financial/ Internal Controls Design & Implementation, Field Visits/ Sub Award Partner Monitoring, Compliance and Support Visits, Application of Rules and Regulations for UKAID/DFID, EU, DANIDA and Other International Partners.
Michael has extensive experience in training, mentoring, coaching Grant Partners, supporting them to build, use and maintain robust financial management systems through monitoring and continuous engagement.
Michael has a first degree in Accounting from Valley View University, Ghana and second degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, from the University of Applied Management, Germany (Ghana Campus) respectively. He is also a student member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and an Affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT).
